Being a European citizen gives one a lot of advantages in life. For me the main advantage of being a European citizen is freedom and in the following I would like to explain my personal reason for that. Freedom in that case means the possibility to travel without a visa or border control. That gives me the right to move and work all over the EU. I really would like to point out here that not everyone is allowed to do so and that this right seems to be basic but in my opion it is a privilege. The based freedom in the European citizenship also gives me the feeling of identification with related countries so that I’m able to learn about different cultures and habits, which widens my horizon.
